L&T Electrical & Automation (E&A) offers a complete range of Power Factor Capacitors that are used to reduce overall power consumption and improve system efficiency. The solution also helps to maintain the required power factor thus reduces electricity bills. The design of our capacitors ensures the highest safety due to features such as self-healing technology and overpressure disconnector fuse. Different Capacitor technologies such as Metallised Poly Propylene (MPP) and Aluminium Poly Propylene (APP) films are available. MPP Capacitors are manufactured in different ranges – Standard Duty, Heavy Duty and Super Heavy Duty. APP Capacitors are available in the box configuration in the ranges of APP and Ultra Heavy Duty Capacitors. APP Capacitors are also provided with internal fuse elements for protection.

 

Standard Duty Capacitors (LTCCF/LTBCF/LTCCD/LTBCD):

Our Standard Duty Capacitors are metalized polypropylene (MPP) capacitors. These capacitors come with a stacked winding and are impregnated with a non-PCB biodegradable soft resin.

Standard Duty Box Capacitor with MCB & LED (LTBCM):

Our range of Standard duty capacitors inbuilt with MCB and LED are designed with metalized polypropylene technology and are available from 5 - 25 kVAr in Box configuration. Having all standard features, these capacitors are specially designed for industries where fixed compensation using Box type capacitors is preferred. Instead of procuring capacitor, protection device and enclosure separately, these capacitors provide a complete 3 - in - 1 solution.

  • Correction of PF using Standard duty capacitor.
  • Protection and isolation by integrated MCB.
  • LED in each capacitor phase giving a visual indication of health status of capacitor.

3-in-1 Capacitors are the smart solution for Transformer Compensation (Cap kVAr = 1.2% of Transformer kVA Rating) and Fixed Compensation (Cap kVAr = 45% of Motor HP Rating).

 

Heavy Duty Capacitors (LTCCH/LTBCH):

Our Heavy Duty Capacitors are metallized polypropylene (MPP) capacitors. The capacitors come with stacked windings and are impregnated with a non-PCB biodegradable resin.

Gas-Filled Capacitors (LTCCN):

Gas-filled Capacitors are Metallised Polypropylene capacitors, available only in a cylindrical configuration. The capacitors are subjected to an extended period of drying after which the casing is filled with an inert gas to prevent corrosion of the winding elements and inner electrical contacts. The risk of leakage of impregnant is completely eliminated. The compact design also ensures space-saving.

APP range of capacitors have a dielectric composition of Biaxially Oriented Aluminium Polypropylene Film. Each capacitor element is protected by an internal fuse which incase of short circuit will blow and isolate that particular capacitor element. These are compact and suitable for applications with heavy load fluctuations and high inrush current.

The LTXL ultra-heavy duty box capacitors are advanced Aluminium Poly Propylene type capacitors. They can withstand heavy load fluctuations, high inrush current and harmonics. They can be used in applications such as welding, steel rolling, etc., with heavy load fluctuations, high harmonic distortion levels (non-linear load >15%) and systems with high dv / dt.
