Expansion of electrical & automation operations led to the setting up of third switchboards manufacturing facility at Coimbatore in India in April 2007 to cater to both, domestic and international markets. In October 2007, an engineering centre to meet the requirements of electrical equipment and systems business and a precision machining centre to facilitate concurrent product development activity were added.

The facility also has high-end automatic CNC turret punch presses, press brakes, roll forming, state-of-the-art powder coating plant and a well-equipped testing facility.

Integration of modern technology with manufacturing processes at this facility has helped L&T Electrical & Automation achieve global standards in every parameter - quality, speed, safety, efficiency, etc. This has also given the flexibility for timely response to changing market requirements
